Summer Chocolate Love from Marks and Spencer

Marks and Spencer chocolate

For all those who, unlike me, are successfully keeping away from all things chocolate, carb or calorie-infested, please look away now! Everyone else read on to find out where I found these delightful little tins of summer chocolates which I’ve been chain-eating for the past week…

Starting the Day with Kusmi Tea

kusmi teaBreakfast is definitely my favourite meal of the day and whilst I’m usually running late on weekdays, I make up for my lack of feasting at the weekend! I’ll enjoy anything from pain perdu to avocado on toast or cereal (with my super cute cereal killer hand stamped spoon!) but my morning essential is a cup of Kusmi Tea. Ironically, I didn’t even like tea before moving from London to Paris and it was only once in France that I discovered the French brand of brightly packaged loose leaf teas and muslin cloth bags.

Hooked on Lov

Lov Infusion

Whenever I’m over visiting family and friends in England, I always seem to be sent back home to Paris with beautifully decorated tins of breakfast teas or a trusty box of Earl Grey because ‘you just can’t find a decent cup of tea in France‘! It’s ironic really since my favourite brand of teas and infusions is in fact the French label, Lov Organic, sister brand of Kusmi Tea (more on that later).

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner at Suka, London

Suka, London

Whilst on a recent business trip to London, I had the luxury of spending my day meeting various brands at Suka in the Sanderson Hotel. Basically this meant an entire day of eating delicious food in the name of work! For those who haven’t yet been to the Sanderson Hotel, you’re missing out on a lot… far more than the hotel itself actually because the ground floor alone offers a fabulous spa (complete with Rococo Nail Apparel polishes which is one of my favourite brands!), a gorgeous modern art design bar and an exotic outdoor/indoor garden for dining and cocktails.

Choux a la Creme Chez Odette, Paris

Odette Paris

As an addict of all things miniature and pastel-coloured, I was an easy victim for Odette‘s tantalizing mini cream puffs. I was actually just strolling by one evening, on my way to a dinner date when my very greedy eye was caught by the art-deco themed salon de thé with a retro-styled terrace and vintage platters and the rest is all history! I casually inquired about the flavours on offer, with absolutely no intention to purchase, but I totally cracked somewhere between tangy lemon and sweet pistachio. I left with a box of 6.

Despite being a firm believer in macarons, my advice is that you forget the nightmare queues at Ladurée and Pierre Hermé. Odette is the patisserie to head for and delight your senses in the tiny cream choux filled with tasty flavours!

The Odette boutique is located minutes from Notre Dame and the Ile Saint Louis, and you can enjoy afternoon tea in the terrace outside or upstairs in the cosy tearoom above the boutique.
