Getting Nude with Urban Decay’s Naked Eyes

Urban Decay Naked Basics

Although I’d never really tried much of the Urban Decay cosmetics collection, I’ve recently heard so many people raving about their cult eye palettes, the Naked trio, and eventually curiosity caught up with me and I just had to find out what the craze was about! To start with, I didn’t go for any of the three larger palettes but opted for the slightly smaller, more neutral kit called the Naked Basics. This is actually the latest Naked Eye Palette from the brand with a selection of 6 creamy matte eye shades, one of which has a light shimmer.

Pastel Pinks & Sugared Almonds

I’ve been having a bit of a make-up obsession lately, I seem to be constantly purchasing new beauty items. It’s always such a great treat when you’re low on funds but still want a little luxury.  I’ve actually had the Paul & Joe highlighter for over a year now, it was impossible to resist the cat-in-top-hat carved into the shimmering stick but I’ve never been able to use it for fear of ruining his little face!

Tarte Cosmetics Arrives in Europe

If you read even one beauty blog or website in the last couple of months, there’s no doubt you’ve heard of cute New York cosmetics brand, Tarte. In fact, this is no recent addition to the make-up market but instead a much-loved American favourite which has only just arrived in the UK, available exclusively through QVC.

Floral Inspired Beauty

Serge Lutens Garde Rose

For spring this year, I worked on a beauty feature covering my all time favourite beauty products inspired by florals. The full piece is live on the Byoutifulyou website but I really wanted to share some of the products with you as well as these pretty photos.

New 4-Free Polish Brand Nailberry

Nailberry pink 2

I can’t believe I’ve only just discovered this beautiful new polish brand, Nailberry, which everyone seems to be raving about! I came across the brand for a review I wrote on Byoutifulyou and it’s been one of my favourite new beauty finds so far. Nailberry is actually a Paris – London brand (so it was practically made for me!) and has just launched in London with a gorgeous salon in the heart of Kensington, which also happens to be the francophone center of the city.

The little detail which makes Nailberry such a unique polish brand is in its formula which is totally 4-free meaning there are absolutely no nasty chemicals such as Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP and Camphor (who knew nail polish was so complex, it always seems so harmless)!

I loved testing out the pretty pink shades from the Spring and Summer collections which include the shades Young & Fabulous*, Lait D’Amandes*, A Smart Cookie* and Fashionista*, and I’ll certainly be growing my collection with some of the brighter summer shades such as Rio and De Janeiro, the perfect yellow and green shades for this summer’s World Cup!

You can shop the full Nailberry range online or visit their chic Kensington salon at 19 Bute Street in South Kensington, London for a 4-free manicure.
