Italian Fashion Love: Attic and Barn

attic and barn

After shopping in Paris, a couple of friends told me about a cool Italian fashion brand they had come across, Attic and Barn. I hadn’t heard of the label before but coming from a Parisienne and an Italian, I knew it had to be good and let’s just say, I didn’t get a whole lot of work done that afternoon!

Attic and Barn is one of those brands that has a laid-back, edgy vibe without falling intoThe Kooples/Zadig et Voltaire category which can sometimes feel a little predictable . Much of the collection is inspired by botanic and floral details with English heritage style prints of daisy wheels and lilac bloom on tops, dresses, shirts, skirts etc. I love the mix and match look of strong coats with faux fur trimming and delicate lace or silk dresses and the final touch of a foulard (so European!) is just perfect. The overall effect is chic and slightly adventurous but whilst remaining completely natural and right on trend.

My Italian friend, Cecilia, tells me there are stores all over the world and with further investigation, I discovered the Italian brand was launched in 2008 and has since grown now being distributed from the Far East to the U.S and Russia as well as all over Europe.

I’m already a total fan of Attic and Barn and can’t wait to go and check it out for myself. Here are a couple of London addresses where you can run into this vintage-style at Fenwick’s in Bond Street or Anna (126 Regents Park Road) but there are also stores in Bristol and you can find a full list on the website.

Have you bought anything from this brand? What do you think?
